Log skidding system
The original Log Line is used on steeper slopes to slide the logs, cut during thinning works, to the road. It is also used with great success for the same purpose during clear cutting in eucalyptus plantations.
Another use is to slide fire logs down to the road and to bring plants up to the plantation site in conjunction with a skid pan and a small portable winch.
The Log Line has a very long live span and does not need any fuel since the logs slide down by gravity from a gradient of 15% or more. The maximum diameter of the logs is 30 cm.
